2:00 AM – Pick-up from Hotel in Nuwara Eliya

• Private transport will pick you up early in the morning.
• Enjoy the scenic drive from Nuwara Eliya to Delhouse (the base of Adam’s Peak), which takes around 2 hours.

4:00 AM – Arrival at the Base of Adam’s Peak (Delhouse)

• Start your hike from Delhouse, which is the most common starting point for the trek.
• Trail Overview: The hike to the summit takes about 4-5 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked and lit with lamps, so it’s possible to hike at night. You will ascend through a variety of landscapes, including dense forests, rocky steps, and open viewpoints.

5:30 AM – Arrival at the Summit

• Activity: Reach the summit of Adam’s Peak in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise.
• Highlights:
  • The Sacred Footprint: Visit the legendary footprint believed to belong to Lord Buddha, Lord Shiva, or Adam, depending on religious beliefs.
  • Sunrise View: Admire the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys as the sun rises, casting beautiful golden hues over the landscape. This is one of the most stunning sunrise experiences in Sri Lanka.
  • Spiritual Significance: Adam’s Peak is a sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims. The spiritual energy of the place adds a unique atmosphere to the experience.

7:00 AM – Descend from Adam’s Peak (Approx. 3 hours)

• Activity: Begin your descent, which will take around 3 hours. The trail down is equally scenic, and you’ll pass lush greenery and enjoy fresh mountain air.
• Highlights: Along the way, you may stop at small tea stalls and local shops for refreshments.

10:00 AM – Breakfast at a Local Restaurant

• Menu: Enjoy a hearty Sri Lankan breakfast, such as string hoppers, hoppers, or roti, along with traditional curries or a simple tea and sandwiches, at a local restaurant near the base of the mountain.

11:00 AM – Visit to the Nearby Tea Plantations (Approx. 1 hour)

• Activity: Visit a nearby tea plantation for a short tour and tea tasting.
• Highlights: Learn about the tea-making process, from plucking to processing, and enjoy tasting some of the region’s finest Ceylon tea.

12:00 PM – Visit to the Town of Maskeliya (Approx. 30 minutes)

• Activity: Take a brief visit to Maskeliya, the nearby town that serves as a base for pilgrims visiting Adam’s Peak.
• Highlights: Explore the peaceful town and enjoy its picturesque setting in the valley surrounded by mountains.

1:00 PM – Return to Nuwara Eliya

• End of Tour: Drive back to Nuwara Eliya, taking in the beautiful scenery along the way.
• Arrival in Nuwara Eliya: Expect to arrive back at your hotel by around 3:00 PM, allowing you to rest after a rewarding day of adventure.
